Students who receive this badge are comfortable working with the Swift programming language to perform basic logic and algorithmic tasks in Playgrounds and build iOS applications in Xcode. They can build iOS applications using UIKit, User Defaults, Core Data, MVC, Network Services, CloudKit, etc. They also have basic knowledge of Objective-C. They have written and shipped two applications to the App Store. They are able to learn new frameworks independently and contribute in a group setting.

Earning Criteria

Complete the Swift Programming Big Nerd Ranch Guide and the Swift Stretch Problem series.
Complete all class projects including About Me, Solar System, Journal, Notes, Alarm, Task, Shopping List, Post, Weather, Representative, Calculator, Movie Search, Timeline, and Chat.
Pass six, 3 hour and 30 minute assessments covering all major skills and concepts covered in DevMountain's iOS immersive course.
Complete and submit an individual capstone project to the iOS App Store.
Collaborate with other students and submit a group capstone project to the iOS App Store.
Complete the Employment curriculum, write a resume, update a LinkedIn profile, complete a portfolio, pass a mock technical interview, and pass a mock personal interview.
