English Composition I is a freshman-level course that introduces the principles of writing. Students will produce organized essays using correct organization and structure, including Summary-Response and Persuasive essays. Students will demonstrate proper use of parts of speech, sentence structure, thesis statements, and paragraph structure. They will also show competency in revising an essay already written. The course is built around the theme “How Can We Connect Despite Our Differences?”
