Earners of the Credential Innovation Fellow badge have demonstrated an understanding of non-degree credentials as they relate to the higher education landscape and educational and industry best practices. Earners have designed a non-degree program plan in their area of expertise that incorporates purpose and rationale, audience and market feasibility, instructional plans and program quality, evaluation and assessment, and accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Earning Criteria

Earners have completed the five-week Laboratory for Credential Innovation. This hybrid program engages learners in exploring the landscape of alternative credentials and support them in aligning their non-degree program idea with educational and industry best practices. Designed as a learning community, the program includes asynchronous activities in Canvas, opportunities for peer review and feedback, and weekly live sessions for further learning, processing, and discussion.
