The course objective is to learn to measure height, weight and vision, take blood pressure and vital signs, and chart the results accurately. Students are also taught to perform laboratory tests such as hemoglobin, HCT, blood glucose, and routine urinalysis. Venipuncture is practiced using prostheses. Students are trained in OSHA blood borne regulations.
