Earning Criteria

• Identify key safety and wellbeing legislation important to employment at Otago Polytechnic, and locate Otago Polytechnic’s internal workplace health, safety, and wellbeing policies for the purpose of understanding personal and organisational legal obligations.
• Select the appropriate action to take during a range of emergency situations on an Otago Polytechnic Campus.
• Identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace and select the appropriate respective reporting procedure at Otago Polytechnic.
• Identify examples of psychological health, physical health, and wellbeing and describe their impact in the context of employment at Otago Polytechnic.
• Identify ways to work ergonomically correctly to decrease the risk of computer use related injury.
