The badge earner gained skills in the instructional design field and developed a network of colleagues while demonstrating they can support learning through their developing expertise in various instructional design areas (accessibility, faculty development, virtual reality, instructional design techniques, student device preferences). Badge earner were exposed to current/important topics and interacted with colleagues at other institutions who face challenges similar to their own.

Earning Criteria

Mini-Capstone Project - Developed or co-developed a tool, article/blog or other artifact relevant to instructional design. Participated in peer review as part of the development process. Shared a tool, article/blog or artifact with the wider professional community. Created and reflected on the work and the learning.
Badge earners attended at least two professional development activities with their partner in support of their program goals. Example activities include attending a conference, attending a local professional development event, attending virtual events, participating in a MOOC, or reading a book together. They also reflected on each event by creating a synopsis that explains how this experience contributes to their professional growth.
Badge earners attended and discussed two (of four) webinars planned and hosted by the Advisory Committee. Each webinar had a theme: accessbility, research and instructional dsign, digital fluency, and immersive reality. Following each webinar, the participants shared their learning with a colleague and wrote a brief synopsis of that discussion.
