The course prepares students for completion of the Building Automation Advanced Bundle. This course covers operation, signaling, and functions of the common sensors, actuators, and other control devices used in building automation systems for commercial buildings. It also focuses on the two leading open protocols, LonWorks¨ and BACnet¨. Students will apply their knowledge of Open Protocols and how they are implemented.

The methods of assessment include quizzes, examinations, presentations, performance rubrics (checklists), and classroom participation with a minimum passing score of 75 percent.
