Earners have a solid foundation of the tools used to prototype ideas and make things. Earners have completed at least six tool trainings in the Maker Hub, Elon’s makerspace. Earners choose six tools to learn from the following options: 3D printer, laser engraver, power saw, sewing machine, soldering iron, Glowforge laser engraver, and CNC router.

Earning Criteria

Complete six online training modules of your choice. Each training outlines the fundamentals of safely using each tool.

Complete a practice project with each tool in-person under the supervision of a Maker Hub student staff person.
