Recipients of this badge are expected to know basic French and use of pronouns, conjugation of verbs, basic grammatical rules. He/She is able to read and understand simple sentences.

Earning Criteria

Element #1: Oral. The student shall give a five-minute uninterrupted description of the various ways of ordering food or looking for an apartment in Paris. The student should provide clear explanations using simple words and sentence construction.
Element #2: Orthography and Grammar. The student shall listen to and respond to a dictée of about 150 words given by Assessor.
Element #3: Written. The student shall write a one-page essay showing ways to purchase a train ticket or an airline ticket over the counter OR online.
