Earning Criteria

The Chartered Engineering Associate has demonstrated technical competence in the area(s) of practice described in the "Evidence" section of this badge.
The Chartered Engineering Associate (CEngA) holds a 2 years recognised Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in Engineering or has been assessed by Engineers Australia as having qualifications of a comparable standard and level.
The Chartered Engineering Associate (CEngA) has demonstrated a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience at the level of an Engineering Associate.
Chartered Engineering Associates have been assessed as competent to the expected standard of an independent practitioner. They are assessed against sixteen competency elements.
Chartered Engineering Associates are committed to ethical practice and are bound to abide by Engineers Australia's Code of Ethics.
Chartered Engineering Associates remain Chartered as long as they remain a member of Engineers Australia and meet audit, professional practice and CPD requirements.
Chartered Engineering Associates are entitled to use the postnominal CEngA next to their name.
