Earning Criteria

• The earner must have previously completed a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
• The earner has attended and actively participated in 100% of the interactive, training sessions that transfer knowledge on the history of Continuous Improvement, the distinction between various improvement methodologies, an introduction to Lean and Six Sigma along with detailed training on Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control Phases of the Lean Six Sigma methodology.
• The earner has scored higher than 70% on the Final Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Exam. This demonstrates that the earner is competent in the technical tools and when to apply them for each phase. The earner understands the purpose and outcome for each DMAIC Phase. The earner has a clear understanding of the key principles / philosophies of Lean and Six Sigma.
• The earner has demonstrated competence in applying statistical tools to: establish process capability, ensure measurement systems are reliable, prove a statistical relation between the project problem (Y) and root-causes (X’s), design experiments (where applicable) and prove that the improvement in performance (Y) is statistically significant.
• The earner has demonstrated successful delivery of a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt project to deliver, quantifiable business benefits. Successful project completion requires the earner to: (1) Obtain sign-off from the Project Sponsor to validate business benefits have been delivered; and (2) Sign-off from an Enlighten, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt to warrant Lean Six Sigma methods and tools have been correctly applied.
