Retreat Director has planned and executed a weekend retreat for 20-100+ attendees, working alongside a national retreat coach and a leading a team of 2-5 retreat leaders. Primary responsibilities include recruiting participants, working with venue, coordinating the retreat schedule and budget, overseeing excellent delivery of the retreat content, and coaching their retreat team. This is an optional leadership role that missionary staff can take to further their professional development.

Earning Criteria

The Retreat Director coaches the Retreat Team in planning logistics for the retreat and in the Leaders' specific roles. In addition, the Retreat Director selects and leads the prayer team and directs schedule during the retreat.

The Retreat Director delivers 1-2 retreat presentations, specifically the presentations that require a deeper level of knowledge (e.g. talks on healing or spiritual gifts).

Earner attends a Retreat Director training hosted by the National Retreats Team. This 3-day training prepares Retreat Director on how to direct a retreat, work with venues and chaplains, and lead prayer teams. Topics include public speaking, intercessory prayer, spiritual healing, and deliverance/spiritual warfare.

The Retreat Director leads recruitment efforts and takes ownership of the retreat schedule.

The Retreat Director manages the budget and expenses of the retreat.
