The Network and Technical Support program is an 8- to 12-week series that introduces early career IT professionals to the intricacies of networking concepts and network infrastructure, operations, security, troubleshooting, and technical support. The program prepares learners to sit for an industry standard certificate by covering various components of IT networks and support that range from operation policies and procedures, migration techniques, and network topologies.

Earning Criteria

Network and Technical Support learners will work through an intensive eight-week curriculum. Areas of the curriculum will include routing and switching, IP addressing, remote access, and an introduction to the Network Engineer and Technical Support career paths.

Learners have received professional skills development training in areas of resume and interview preparation, career resources, and professional etiquette through live coaching sessions. In addition, foundational training on agile methodology, design thinking, and job application essentials through self-paced learning.

At the end of the Network and Technical Support curriculum, learners will be ready to take a comprehensive industry standard examination to ensure their understanding of the curriculum. Upon completion of the program learners are prepared for potential placement into Network Engineer or Help Desk Technician apprenticeship programs with employers.
