The earners of this badge will have the ability to work aseptically with mammalian cells and have a basic understanding of the handling, prepping, and running samples on a Flow cytometer. They would have the ability to follow a protocol, work both adherent and suspension cell cultures and do basic cell-based assays. They would also have a basic understanding of the Flow cytometry principles and would be able to fix, stain and acquire samples on a Flow cytometer.

Earning Criteria

The two credit courses (BIOT-220 & BIOT-222) must be completed with a passing grade of "C" or better. If a student has prior cell culture experience, they can apply for PLA.
