Flow Cytometry Basics

The earners of this badge will have basic understanding of handling, prepping, and running samples on a flow cytometer. They will have the ability to follow protocol, work with both adherent and suspension cell cultures and perform basic cell-based assays. They will also have basic understanding of flow cytometry principles and be able to fix, stain and acquire samples on a flow cytometer. Earners will also demonstrate understanding of the controls needed for a flow cytometry experiment.

Earning Criteria

Previous life science experience which has been reviewed and approved by the instructor or program manager. The non-credit course PRD 222 or PRD224 must be completed with a grade of "SC" or "CC" and a minimum of 80% on the lab exams. Upon successful completion of the course students will receive an email from Credly notifying them to claim their badge.
