The Basics of Applied Healthcare course provides a foundational understanding of the healthcare system and the skills required to succeed in the field. Topics covered include healthcare delivery models, medical terminology, patient communication, and clinical skills. Students will also explore healthcare careers opportunities which will prepare them for a career in healthcare or showcase the pathway to further educational pathways in a healthcare-related field.

*Professional Practice*: Students will be discussing real-world scenarios within the healthcare industry allowing them to see themselves in these roles.
