The Criminal Justice Faculty, In Collaboration with the Criminal Justice Program Advisory Board, have worked to define this digital certificate to recognize an individual’s competency in Homeland Security: Causation, ideology and organization of terrorism; Constitutional issues and policy implications related to counter-terrorism and homeland security; and Legal and ethical challenges that face criminal justice professionals in the performance homeland security responsibilities in fieldwork.

Criteria for Badge Completion: A Learner Badge is awarded a minimum of “C” earned average in each required course - CRJ 101 Introduction Criminal Justice (3 Credits); SOC 225 Professional Ethics (3 Credits); and POL 206 Terrorism and Homeland Security (3 Credits).
