The Criminal Justice Faculty, In Collaboration with the Criminal Justice Program Advisory Board, have worked to define a digital certificate which recognizes an individual’s competency in Youthful Offenders: History, nature & extent of juvenile crime; Public policy, sociological, & legal perspectives; Rationale, methods and philosophy of Juvenile Justice; Role of family, environment, peer groups, violence, child abuse & substance abuse, and, Problems and ethical issues occurring in fieldwork.

Criteria for Badge Completion: A Badge of Excellence is awarded a minimum of “A-” earned average in each required course - PSY 101 Introduction to Psychology (3 Credits); SOC 101 Introduction to Sociology (3 Credits); and SOC 208 Juvenile Delinquency.
