Earners of the Chief Data Officer Executive Certificate have enhanced their ability to design and lead the strategy for using data for value creation within their organizations. Upon completion of the program, participants can: (1) understand the value of data assets; (2) develop strategies for use of data to achieve and/or exceed business goals; (3) develop ability to anticipate future technological disruptions; (4) lead change; and (4) facilitate collaboration across the organization.

Earning Criteria

Participants complete 56 hours of training in-person, with an additional 10 hours, per topic, of outside learning activities and assignments. Training topics include: Develop a strategic plan for data activities of the organization; Build a necessary infrastructure to integrate data practices; Create and sustain a data-focused ecosystem; Develop innovation & change activities by leveraging organizational data assets. Project work and 80% attendance is required.

Eligibility requirements include: Application and resume reviewed and approved by the Executive Development Assistant Director which includes demonstrating evidence of receiving an undergraduate degree or equivalent and 4 - 6 years of mid-level management experience.
