Earners of the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Executive Certificate are uniquely positioned to move into CDEIO or similar C-level positions or equivalent role in an organization. They can: (1) Develop the strategic plan for DEI efforts; (2) Obtain, direct and manage operational budgets of DEI efforts; (3) Serve as a key member of the C-Suite setting the organizational strategy.

Earning Criteria

Complete 56 hours of training in-person, with an additional 10 hours, per topic of outside learning assignments.

Degree or equivalent work experience and 4-6 years in mid-level management experience

Standards
The programs are currently delivered as a non-degree, School of Business executive certificate. By adding the opportunity for attendees to add a badge credential for successful completion of the program to their resume for organizational recognition (internal and external) and to indicate the accomplishment of obtaining a GMU credential.
