Earners of the Chief Risk Officer Executive Certificate have the ability to develop, implement and maintain the organizational risk strategy for their organization. Upon completion of the program, participants can: (1) Assess current culture of risk within the organization; (2) Align the risk strategy to specific business objectives; (3) Design an integrated risk strategy; and (4) Evaluate risk management as an opportunity to increase value for the organization.

Earning Criteria

Participants complete 56 hours of training in-person, with an additional 10 hours, per topic, of outside learning activities and assignments. Training topics include: Conduct an internal risk assessment for their organization; Develop a strategic risk management plan; Build processes for threat assessment and recovery; Create scenario analysis in organizational implementation; Develop analytical metrics and strategy for ERM. Project work and 80% attendance is required.

Eligibility requirements include: Application and resume reviewed and approved by the Executive Development Assistant Director which includes demonstrating evidence of receiving an undergraduate degree or equivalent and 4 - 6 years of mid-level management experience.
