The School of Engineering's embedded systems badge prepares students in the areas of embedded HW/SW that would be valued in their workplace setting. The badge enables students to understand the microcontroller architecture, develop software using structured programming language, integrate hardware and software to develop microcontroller-based applications to control an electromechanical system and write necessary firmware for implementing a rudimentary RTOS using various programming languages.
