Earners have completed the Water Leadership Program (WLP), a feedback-intensive, 10-month professional development program that helps emerging leaders develop the ability to exert influence, drive change and advance challenging integrated water management projects – abilities associated with the most effective integrated water management leaders. Earners have satisfied the 'excellence' criteria. Earners have received 20CP of academic credit into the Graduate Certificate in Water Leadership.

Earning Criteria

Earners have participated in the customised 360 degree feedback process to help identify their leadership strengths, weaknesses and behaviours

Earners have fully attended and participated in the initial face-to-face intensive in Brisbane delivering training modules on relevant leadership skills and strategies, theories and conceptual models.

Earners have developed and implemented an Individual Leadership Development Plan (ILDP) with the first version of the plan being prepared before the first coaching session.

Earners have completed a specific, challenging leadership project within the ILDP which has delivered substantial and tangible outcomes.

Earners have established and used a local mentoring arrangement (formal or informal) during the program and have had at least 2 local mentoring conversations during the program.

Earners have provided an updated/revised ILDP before the third coaching session.

Earners have fully participated in all 3 one-to-one coaching sessions

Earners have fully participated in all of the core online workshops.

Earners have fully participated in at least 5 of the 15 optional online workshops.

Earners have interviewed a more senior leader in their own organisation about leadership.

Earners have participated in the follow-up feedback process where their colleagues were surveyed in relation to changes in leadership behaviour.

Earners have participated in the second (follow-up) intensive or participated in the online activities associated with the virtual delivery of this intensive.

Earners have completed a Reflection Report that reflects on and documents their experience with the program, and has been cited by a supervisor and/or local mentor and submitted to the International Water Centre.
