Earners examined AML and CTF regulatory frameworks, identifying the responsibilities and legal obligations of key agencies within Australia and overseas. Sanctions, compliance requirements and international partnerships working to disrupt financial crime globally were explored. Earners identified emerging trends relating to scams, cryptocurrency, and technology and applied criminological approaches to analyse case studies.

Earners completed six online professional development modules centred on understanding Australia’s AML and CTF regulatory framework and identifying emerging trends in financial crime.

Earners engaged in a range of learning activities, including case studies, scenario applications, technical writing tasks and weekly webinar sessions.

Earners received a passing grade for the major case study assessment task which required participants to submit a series of short written responses designed to demonstrate an understanding of core topics covered in the first two micro-credentials in this program.
