Earners volunteered at a community-run tax clinic to provide free advice to unrepresented individuals on various taxation issues. Earners can provide advice on tax matters including lodgement, debt, rights of review and appeal, and general tax law. Earners of the badge can respond to an ATO notice . Earners can provide assistance with applying for remissions of penalties, negotiation of payment plans, assessment disputes. This badge represents a Skills credential type that is not for credit.

Earning Criteria

3 Reflective Journal Pieces (30%): (diary of personal stories of clients) (due weeks 3, 5 and 7)

1 Oral Presentation about the reflective journal and assignment (20%). (Due weeks 11 and 12)

It is expected the contact hours for students would be in the vicinity of one day per week over the 12 week Trimester – would could consist of 6 hours per week = 72 hours plus time for the assessment pieces.
