Co-creating Across Generations

Intergenerational learning involves guided interactions between college-aged students and older adults in the community. Such learning is undertaken to help participants understand how cultural stereotypes, norms and expectations can influence their perspectives on age and aging. Earners of this badge have completed a service learning, creative arts experience as a means to establish common ground with older adults.

Earning Criteria

Earners have completed an intergenerational, arts-based, service-learning experience, concluding with a reflective journal detailing their learning from didactic and experiential content. Through this effort, earners build communication skills relevant to interactions with older adults.
