Badge earner understands the quality characteristics of technical documentation, and has demonstrated proficiency in evaluating whether content is easy to find, easy to use, and easy to understand. Badge earners are quizzed on the source material (Developing Quality Technical Information, 3ed) and must then demonstrate proficiency with the skills acquired by evaluating the quality aspects of a qualifying technical content sample of their choice.

Demonstrate ability to apply knowledge of the nine quality characteristics described in the DQTI by reviewing a qualifying technical content sample and submitting an assessment that evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of each quality characteristics.
