Earning Criteria

Must be an employee of IBM

Introduce a minimum of 5 faculty to the IBM SkillsBuild Software Downloads OR Influence a minimum of 100 students to use the IBM SkillsBuild Software Downloads.

Be recognized by the university or academic institution for leadership by either being invited to serve on an official Advisory Board, to conduct a minimum of 4 guest lectures, and/or serving as an Adjunct Faculty. Ensure that at least one guest lecture is added to the IBM University Guest Lectures catalog to be shared with universities and other IBM Academic Ambassadors

Share your expertise as a Mentor with a minimum of 3 peer IBM Academic Ambassadors to increase their individual effectiveness on campus. Mentees must demonstrate progress in at least 1 of the other 5 Badge Criteria areas during or after the mentoring process.

Assist the academic programs team by playing an active role assisting and participating in a strategic IBM collaboration with a university in a key strategic skills area. This strategic collaboration may or may not involve an official document of understanding, such as a MOU, but it must always be in support of the appropriate GUP Leader as designated by the Geo Lead.
