They can install the Terraform CLI, configure the IBM Cloud Provider plug-in, find the Terraform resources and data sources that they need, create their own Terraform configuration files, create and interpret a Terraform execution plan, and apply a Terraform configuration in IBM Cloud. They can also understand Terraform logs and troubleshoot errors.

Earning Criteria

- Must be an IBM employee.
- Must be able to create their own Terraform template by finding the Terraform required data source or resource, and configure the resource or data source by using Hashicorp Configuration Language.
- Must be able to create Terraform modules from existing Terraform templates and know how to run Terraform modules in IBM Cloud to automate cloud service provisioning.
- Optional: Go through the learning material to learn about Terraform, and how to use Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of IBM Cloud services. If you plan to obtain the Terraform on IBM Cloud badge, you can also use this learning material to prepare for the final test.
- Whether you chose to complete the learning path or not, badge earners MUST pass the Terraform on IBM Cloud test.
