Skills
- Create or redesign Equity Teams of district stakeholders who will utilize data to identify the academic and opportunity gaps in their organization.
- Develop a plan to communicate DEI goals to all stakeholders.
- Embed the DEI goals and objectives into the school improvement plan which then becomes a living document that will be properly managed and benchmarked to ensure timely adherence.
- Guide District Equity Teams in assessing the current realities in the school district and identify the barriers trends and patterns around diversity equity and inclusion that are occurring in their educational systems.
- Learn how to recognize and acknowledge their biases to view their districts with a school-wide equity lens to address and improve large scale systemic issues that affect an effective and inclusive environment.
- Work with Equity Teams to develop an equity framework and an action plan to address the gaps.
