  • Earner participated in four workshops to format data into a tidy data frame using diplyr and tidyr functions such as: join, group, mutate, "regex" string functions and ggplot visualization to validate results.
  • A group project was assigned to develop visualizations and wrangling of large datasets that would compare COVID-19 excess-deaths of multiple US states and territories in a meaningful way. A research questions was defined to answer with data.
  • Statistical tools and visualizations should be used in a 15 minute group presentation with 5 minutes of questions by expert speakers and other participants . The presentation included discussion of results, analysis and future work.
