Baroque Music Performance I
This credential is awarded to InterHarmony students who publicly perform a Baroque piece of music at the festival, as part of an ensemble or as a soloist, & are recognized for high level achievement. These students channel the creativity & sensibility of great composers of the 17th century while also approaching music from a 21st century perspective. They have an advanced understanding of historical & modern performing techniques & music history,& advanced technical & improvisational skills.

Earning Criteria

To receive Baroque Music Performance I, participant must perform a Baroque piece or movement of a Baroque piece one time during the festival.

Engaging developing artistic personality.

The quintessential quality of the baroque music performer is not just to represent the epoch of that particular time but to look at it through the eyes of the 21st century & deliver the combination of both to a modern listener.

This special task requires an understanding of old & modern performing techniques, comprehension & interpretation of the counterpoint & phrase development.

Be chosen/recognized & recommended by InterHarmony Artist Faculty & administration as giving a high level performance of a Baroque piece or movement of a Baroque piece.

Those selected to participate in InterHarmony International Music Festival in Europe have the life-changing opportunity to enjoy a spectrum of multidimensional challenges including intensive private lessons taught by renowned Artist Faculty, rehearsals, and chances to perform solo, in chamber groups, in orchestra concerts, and masterclasses.
