They channel the creativity & sensibility of composers like Monteverdi, Scarlatti, Vivaldi, & Bach with 21st century eyes, to deliver the perfect interpretive combination to a modern audience. It requires advanced understanding of historical & modern performing techniques, an encyclopedic knowledge of music history, & advanced technical & improvisational skills.
