Vocalists who attempt this feat understand the collaborative nature of this type of singing & are aware not only of other vocalists & the conductor, but the orchestra as well. These skilled musicians also have physical endurance & long attention spans as the complex & beautiful interplay between orchestra & choir is nuanced, & choristers always need to be on alert.
