In the Spring Semester students demonstrate in-depth knowledge of European Music History from mid-16th century to present- key composers, musical styles, genres, & techniques in relation to historical events by completing weekly listening homework assignments, listening quizzes, reading, essays, & class participation. Practical application & analysis, relating Historical Music knowledge to pieces currently studying. Delivering Oral Presentations on Romantic Composer & Composers living after 1950

Standards
College/graduate age students can audition for the Independent Artist Mastery Program which helps cultivate and enhance skills with a performance focus. They study privately with renowned professors and attend a variety of relevant classes on musical topics. Students also can play in masterclasses and concerts during the year and at IIMF in Europe.
