This badge is awarded to those who have previously earned the Music History I badge & have continued to learn about European Music History from the mid-16th century until the present. These students have knowledge about key composers, musical styles, genres, techniques, & the historical context. Students show their growing knowledge through class participation, listening assignments, essays, practical applications, analysis, & oral presentations.

Standards
The Young Artist Program, for ages 14-17 by audition, prepares students for effective appearances on stage and a musical career through intensive musical experiences with faculty, theory/solfège, music history, masterclasses, and concerts. In the summer, they can attend IIMF in Europe, performing live and possibly meeting their IISM professors.
