Earning Criteria

Complete the four-week, 120-hour program on fundamental, theoretical knowledge in second-language acquisition, linguistics, teaching methods and strategies to successfully instruct English as a foreign language. Teach actual EFL students in a practicum of 20 hours during which more than six hours are trainer observed.

Achieve a score of 70 or higher in teaching-related projects: student assessment and evaluation, textbook selection, and materials compilation, Pass weekly quizzes and a 75-item multiple-choice, comprehensive final exam with 70 or up. Prepare and teach your last-week teaching-practicum classes without trainer assistance.

When working towards their Master of Education, graduates of the iTTi 120-Hour TEFL Certification receive a waiver of the three-year teaching experience requirement and credit for two courses: Curriculum & Instruction Planning & Development Dimensions of Learning: Application in classroom.
