Cyber Essentials helps give peace of mind that you’ve put essential security protections in place – and is critical for both reputation and compliance. Jisc offers Cyber Essentials as a service. This course is led by a Cyber Essentials assessor and designed to guide you through the 89 questions and prepare your organisation for certification. It explores the 89 questions involved in the Cyber Essentials certification process, what they mean to your institution and the common problems and issues.

Earning Criteria

  • This course consists of one x3.5 hour live online session. The learner has been awarded the completed digital badge for taking part in all activities, being fully engaged in interactions, contributing to discussions. And further to this fulfilled the following criteria for this Jisc training course demonstrated digital badge;
  • This learner has read, completed and submitted all the course activities and assessment to an acceptable standard. Including the following;
  • Reviewed all 89 questions which are asked during a Cyber Essentials assessment. Once reviewed has selected the 5 most challenging questions and explained why.
  • OR watched the 'What is Cyber Essentials?' video and successfully answered the subsequent questions in the short quiz.
  • AND completed the Cyber Essentials course assessment. Gained pass mark of 75% or more and done so no later than 2 weeks post course completion.
