Earners of this award are recognized for excellence in teaching. This award is made possible by a special endowment from the BNSF Railway. Each instructional division selects nominees. A distinguished educator selects the top recipients from the nominees. Earners receive a $1000 cash award.

Earning Criteria

Earner must be nominated by their instructional division. Divisional nominations will be sent to the Vice President of Academic Affairs/CAO for review and endorsement.

Earner must submit a teaching portfolio with letter of nomination by the division administrator or nominee’s supervisor, a current resume, a personal statement of no more than three pages, a copy of the nominee’s job description, supporting documents (no more than 10 separate documents, with a combined total of no more than 30 pages).

Earners will be assessed by an external judge selected by the college president. Criteria include: Excellence in Leadership, Exemplary Performance of Job Responsibilities, and Quality of Service department division, college, and community.
