The student has trained for a career as an operator of assisted living facilities, residential health care facilities, home plus and adult day care facilities with information on the principles of assisted living. They have learned about the aging process and its effect on activities, treatment and management of the elderly, resident rights, state and federal regulations, and issues involved in the management of internal support staff, budgeting, supplies, and outside resources.
