Both content and skill attainment will be assessed with 80% mastery in both areas.

Learners are exposed to the Alphabetic Phonics approach to reading instruction for struggling readers and those identified with dyslexia. Lectures, demonstrations, opportunities for practice and feedback are required activities. Some students need specialized support to aid them in their literacy journey. The goal is ensuring every student has the instruction that will assist them in becoming a literate citizen. This microcredential provides a one structured approach to reading instruction.
