The digital badge earner develops lesson plans with accommodations for exceptional children in various subject areas. The earner is familiar with the law and IFSPs & IEPs, and can implement instructional learning activities that are developmentally appropriate according to the child’s unique abilities. Behavioral observations, interventions and informal screenings can also be applied.

Earning Criteria

Completion of Child Development 044 and 045 with grades of B or higher in each.
Completion of 10 lesson plans with accommodations for different disabilities focusing on developmental levels of ages 4-8 years old. Lesson plans must each meet rubric standards of 80% or higher.
Compilation of 20-50 resources for parents in a variety of areas for assisting families who are navigating the world of special needs.
