Earners of the LAGCC Humanitarian Initiative can create a platform for students, faculty, and staff to translate classroom and lived experiences to develop and execute global outreach projects on issues related to human rights and civic engagement.

Earning Criteria

Commit to be engaged in LAGCC Humanitarian Initiative Projects for at least one semester.

Participate in an experiential learning opportunity that will enrich classroom learning experience and connect it to real world. Develop and execute global outreach projects related to human rights and civic engagement.

Present global outreach project during the end of the semester LaGCC Humanitarian Initiative Event.

Participate in a bi-annual events (Student Club Fairs, Career Fairs, and New Student Orientations) through tabling info sessions and engaging with the college community on global outreach projects. Build networking skills and develop social and professional relationships. Submit testimony on how the event helped with professional development.

A rubic will be used to grade student's work. An internal evaluation will be conducted by the LAGCC Humanitarian Initiative.
