The Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) is the assessment for all aspiring solicitors in England and Wales. The SQE is split into two assessments SQE1 and SQE2. The SQE assessments combined test the competences set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). The level assessed is that of a day one newly qualified solicitor. The holder of this badge studied an SQE2 Preparation Course at Law Training Centre and has evidenced that they undertook the SRA's SQE2 assessment and passed.

The SQE2 assesses practical legal skills through oral and written assessments. The SQE2 assessment consists of 16 separate stations, 4 of which are oral and 12 are written. Practice areas in which the legal skills are assessed are: Criminal Litigation, Dispute Resolution, Property Practice, Wills and Intestacy, Probate Administration and Practice, Business organisations rules and procedures. Ethics and professional conduct are assessed throughout.
