This course focuses on the many ways in which state and federal laws regulate how securities are introduced to the public, how they are traded and the representations that can be made in the process of buying and selling them. Topics discussed include the SEC Acts, Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank. The course also looks at what are considered securities, and the initial public offering process. Finally, the course also looks at securities fraud and insider trading.
