Lipscomb's CORE Assessment measures 15 essential leadership competencies using the nationally-respected and Fortune 500-proven Polaris© Competency Model. Lipscomb is the first university to offer a fully-integrated, behaviorally-based assessment program using the Polaris© system. The CORE Assessment Center is an intensive, 8-hour, workplace-based simulation in which certified assessors identify strength and development areas. In strength areas, students may earn up to 30 hours of college credit.

Lipscomb University badges are valid for two years from the date they are earned. Earners may still demonstrate this competency at the indicated level even if the badge is expired.
Standards
Earners of the Applied Problem Solving & Decision Making badge analyze and anticipate unintended consequences to make decisions, form and lead informal problem-solving teams, actively solicit input from others, coach team in creative problem- solving, step back from an issue to see the big picture and solve problems in a timely manner.
