Covers essential concepts and techniques necessary to work safely and in a quality manner in a laboratory. Laboratory techniques assessed include: measuring volume, weight, light absorbance, and pH; making solutions; following and writing procedures; calibration and basic instrument maintenance. This badge is issued in a course with 100 lab related instructional hours. To earn a badge, the student consistently demonstrates superior performance and behavior and serves as a role model for others.
