Identify appropriate elements in design.
Ability to describe media utilizing only elements and principles of design.
Distinguish typefaces between the four basic categories of type.
Identify the different types of images (photography, art, illustration).
Understanding of white space, rule of thirds and grid layouts and how to utilize them in design.
Identify appropriate principles of design.
Identify the differences between good and bad design.
Able to use the elements and principles of design along with basic design "rules" to create a design that visually communicates.
