Principles of Nurse Aide Safety & Communication (v.01)

In compliance with the Department of Health Services (DHS) statute 129, this course outlines basic principles of nurse aide safety and communication that are required concepts of the first 16 hours of a Nurse Aide Course. In this course, students will implement communication and interpersonal skills to promote resident rights and independence. Students will also examine concepts of infection control, and implement safety and emergency procedures to protect residents and themselves.
