Score a passing grade on the FIMC ® Exam (Fellowship in Medical Coding)

Complete all the following courses: anatomy & physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, medical terminology, reimbursement methodology, intermediate/advanced ICD diagnostic/procedural and CPT coding, HCPCS, HIPAA and Medical Billing

Describe a medical record’s format, standards, types of documentation, organization, retention, applicable laws; consent forms; purpose and elements of a compliance plan; Medicare fraud, Medicare abuse, and other abuses/offences, assign appropriate medical codes as per AHA, AMA. CMS, AHIMA Coding Guidelines.
